STC Solid Carbide Plunge Roughing Cutter 3 flute upcut 60°, chamfer drill cutter

The Solid Carbide Plunge Roughing Cutter with 3 positive spiral fluted cutting edges and a 60° bevel at the cutter face is suitable for drilling handle holes and for milling out openings for lock cylinders. This 60° chamfer drill cutter can also be used for circular milling of spy holes and handle hole drilling as well as light cut-outs in solid wood and other wood and board materials. The special cutting edge geometry enables a large cutting volume at a medium feed rate. The achievable surface quality is roughing quality. The chips are ejected upwards. The roughing chamfer drill cutter is used in chucks or adapters on routers and CNC machines.

The advantages of the STC Plunge Roughing Cutter 3 flute upcut 60° chamfer drill cutter

The 60° chamfers on the cutter face of the drill cutter are effective drill cutting edges. These reduce the occurrence of breakouts and burrs when drilling through on the exit side of the workpiece. The roughing profile is very well suited for milling cut-outs in various materials. With the 60° chamfer point, the roughing drill bit is also suitable for circular milling of through holes, for milling the handle hole bore or for milling out the lock cylinder.
