At the end of the year 2018, Wilhelm Keil Fräskettenfabrik, the only German manufacturer of chain cutting tools, mortise chain sets and mortise chain rails, ceased operations. This has resulted in new chains no longer being available for older chain cutters.

Sadly the production of the Wilhelm Keil Fräskettenfabrik was completely closed and broken upTherefore, it was no longer possible to continue the production by a successor or another company.
