Vacuum Table, Vacuum Plate 400 x 600 x 16 mm for CNC milling machine

The vacuum plate 400 x 600 x 16 mm is used for fast and safe clamping of various workpieces. The vacuum plate is ideally suited for clamping various air-impermeable and also non-magnetic materials on the CNC milling machine. These include metals such as aluminium or plastics such as acrylic (GS and XT), polycarbonate, polyoxymethylene and wood.

The vacuum plate 400 x 600 x 16 mm is used as accessory on CNC milling machines or CNC portal milling machines. It enables distortion and vibration-free machining on five sides.

Before use, this vacuum table is mounted on the T-slot plates on the table of the CNC milling machine. Then the hose included in the delivery is mounted to the connections of the vacuum plate and to the connections of the connection adapter for the vacuum generator. This connects the suction points with each other.

When the vacuum generator is commissioned, the vacuum is distributed evenly over the entire clamping surface of the vacuum table. The workpieces are sucked in through the holes and mainly through the pores of the air-permeable MDF board supplied. Several suction points allow a flexible field division and the clamping of several workpieces. In order to increase the clamping force especially when CNC milling small workpieces, unused areas on the vacuum table can be shielded with a non-air-permeable milling mat or plastic film.

The combination of several vacuum plates in series next to each other enables the clamping of large workpieces on a correspondingly large machine table. The vacuum tables of this series can be used as accessories on various CNC milling machines, CNC milling machines or CNC portal milling machines of many suppliers. These include for example: AMF, BZT, Contorion, Sorotec, Schmalz, CNC-Step, Mafell GmbH, SPVPL, Stepcraft, Spreitzer, Kress, Rietschle, Smart, Drucker, T-Rex, GAL and many others.

Use and commissioning of the vacuum plates

During assembly, the vacuum plate is fixed to the T-slot plate or to the machine table of the CNC milling machine with M6 cheese-head screws. (Very suitable are cylinder head screws with hexagon socket according to ISO 4762 or DIN 912, also known as Allen screws. The screws are NOT included in the delivery).

Then divide the supplied hose into 20 pieces. These are then fitted to the connections on both sides of the vacuum plate and to the connections of the connection adapter for the vacuum generator. See picture.
The upper MDF plate can be replaced without any problem. A new replacement plate can be ordered from us. The plate is only glued on and can be replaced easily, even without dismantling the vacuum table.

The vacuum supply by means of vacuum generator

A vacuum generator is necessary for the use of the vacuum plates. This is NOT included in the scope of delivery of this vacuum plate.
The best vacuum generator is a hoover, wet vacuum cleaner or dry vacuum cleaner with a suction power of more than 1kW. However, a vacuum pump with or without control or also or a side channel compressor can be used just as well. A prerequisite is that the pump has sufficient suction power.
