These HS custom profile knives fit into the 90mm wide Uni - profile knife - head. The 90mm wide cutter head is currently the widest available cutter head for use with manual feed. This allows large and heavy profiles to be produced at comparatively low tool costs.

Technical Information on the 90 mm wide HSS custom profile knives:

• Profile knife thickness: 5,5 mm
• Bore diameter: 6 mm
• Whole spacing: 73 mm

In accordance with the regulations of the German Employer's Liability Insurance Association (Berufsgenossenschaft / BG), each set of profile knives consists of 4 parts. We supply 2 pieces of 90 mm wide HSS custom profile knives and 2 pieces of matching 88 mm wide profiled chip limiters. These are precisely positioned by means of fitting bolts located in the profile cutter head. They can therefore be replaced quickly and without any custom set-up effort.

Precise 90 mm custom profile knives require precise templates:

In order to manufacture your custom profile knives and profiled chip limiters precisely, we need a suitable template from you. Please use one of the following three different possibilities:

1. Send us a drawing or a sketch of the desired wooden profile up to 90 mm wide by email, fax or post. Our precision tool mechanics will create a machine-readable CAD file for our CNC profile knife grinding machine. Please draw the profile exactly as it will later be milled in the wood. This profile is then slightly distorted and ground into your profile knives. The custom profile knives are installed diagonally in the cutter head. Then this distortion is reversed in the milled wood.

2. You can also send us the profile data digitally. We then need a simple DXF file. There only the finished profile may be stored on a single layer. The profile may only consist of simple lines and radii directly connected to each other. The CNC control of the professional knife grinding machine does not understand labels, splines, double lines or other graphic details. It is best to send us your profile again as a PDF file. You are welcome to add comments or dimensions to the pdf file. Please also let us know whether the drawing shows the wood or the tool. In case of doubt, we will know exactly how your 90 mm wide profile should look at the end.

3. Just send us your wood sample! For example a piece of an old wooden strip or a piece of frame profile. We measure your sample on our measuring machine. In this way we create a profile file which we then read into the control of one of our CNC grinding machines. Please send us only a narrow 10 mm to 25 mm wide strip. We do not need half window frames or door leaves for the production of your tools. Please enclose a small sketch from which we can see how exactly the profile is to be ground into the custom profile knife. So that the running direction on your milling machine is correct at the end.

As soon as we have all the necessary information, we will manufacture your 90 mm custom profile knife set for you within a short time.

Important information: The maximum profile depth for a 90 mm profile knife set is 30 mm. More is not possible!
