Milling your mouldings yourself! The glazing beads are used to veneer window panes and to hold glazing in place in windows or doors. It is located all around the window frame directly at the edge of the pane on the side facing the interior. The glazing bead fixes the pane and gives it a secure hold in the window frame. The practical thing about this is that when the glass pane is replaced, e.g. due to damage, the glazing beads can usually be easily removed without having to replace the entire window directly. The glazing beads are usually made of grade 1 knot-free wood. The most commonly used wood species are pine, meranti, spruce, eucalyptus, oak or larch. The edges are rounded with a radius of 5 mm within the visible range of the cover strips. This also ensures a secure hold of the window colour at the edges after the paint has been applied.
