The Solid Carbide deburrer 90° 4 flute for chamfering and deburring workpiece edges. Also excellently suited for contour work.
This four-edged deburrer is designed as a finishing cutter. It is therefore particularly suitable for milling steel and cast iron. It can also be used for milling non-ferrous metals. Also very suitable for milling various plastics.
The deburrer is designed for use in conventional milling machines. Also in CNC machines and machining centres in clockwise rotation. For linear deburring or chamfering of workpiece edges. Also suitable for circular contour machining.

Information: Resistance and toughness of solid carbide
With the Solid Carbide tool, the wear resistance is inversely proportional to the toughness. Therefore, an increase in the wear resistance always means a reduction in the toughness behaviour of the carbide of the deburring tools. In concrete terms, this means that a higher proportion of carbides increases the wear resistance of the deburr milling cutters. While a higher proportion of binder improves the toughness of the carbide. A solution to this problem was also in the offing at the end of the 1960s. At that time, a process for coating tools had been developed. By coating the deburrer with a few thousandths of a millimetre of titanium aluminum nitride (TiAlN), the performance or service life of the deburrer is significantly increased.
