Info: New mortise chains for older machines
In 2018, the last German manufacturer of chain tools, Wilhelm Keil Fräskettenfabrik, ceased operations. In addition to mortissing tools for pig hinges, Keil mainly produced mortise chains and guide bars for mortising chains. Unfortunately, new chains from Keil are no longer available for older mortise machines. As far as is known, the machines and equipment of the Wilhelm Keil mortise chain factory were completely liquidated and sold individually. This has unfortunately made it impossible for a successor or another company to re-commission the production facilities.
Except for the mortise tools from our stocks, which are offered here in the pwwu24 - Onlineshop, we can no longer supply new mortise chains.
