Grinding wheel Ø = 50 x 16 x 13 mm NK (normal corundum) e.g. for manual grinding machine, suspended motor or stick grinder
The grinding wheel Ø = 50 x 16 x 13 mm NK e.g. for manual grinding machine, hanging motor or stick grinder comes from the stock clearance of our own grinding shop! It is an absolutely unused quality tool that may show signs of storage, e.g. discolouration!
Suitable for grinding steel, deburring or grinding weld seams. Especially suitable for use in a flexible shaft, a bar grinder or a suspended motor.

pwwu24 - omline - Shop - Information: The microstructure of the grinding wheel (also called "structure")
The structure of the abrasive body describes the proportion of pores in the abrasive body. Together with the volume share of the abrasive and the bond, it always results in 100% in this three-component mixture. However, the structure also describes the size, shape and arrangement of the bond webs in the abrasive body and thus also to a particular extent the abrasive behaviour of the abrasive tool.
The microstructure of an abrasive body must therefore be individually adapted in interaction with the other components and parameters of the grinding task to be solved in order to achieve maximum efficiency:
- a dense microstructure and greater hardness result in highly stressable form
- resistant grinding wheels as required, for example, for external or internal cylindrical grinding.
- open structure with lower hardness results in grinding wheels that are easy to cut with plenty of space for chip formation and coolant transport.
They are particularly needed for grinding processes with long contact lengths between the workpiece and the grinding wheel, such as creepfeed grinding (flat profile grinding). The microstructure is indicated by numbers between 2 and 22. As the number increases, so does the openness or porosity of the grinding wheel. The large number of possible microstructures makes it necessary to add additional letters and numbers to the microstructure code.
