Classification of abrasives:

NK - Normal corundum: For simpler grinding work with the double bench grinder, for roughing ferrous materials and not too hard steel or cast steel.

EK - Special corundum: Used for grinding materials with high tensile strength, e.g. stainless steel, hardened steels, tool steel or high-speed steel, also for some high-tensile aluminium and bronze alloys.

SiC - Silicon Carbide: Is harder than corundum. Silicon carbide has a sharper grain geometry. It is a very versatile abrasive, for grinding relatively soft metals. These include aluminium or cast iron. Can also be used for extremely hard materials such as carbide.

Workshop - stock sale: The grinding wheels Ø = 200 x 25 x 51 mm come directly from the workshop stock and may therefore show discolouration or slight soiling due to storage, but this does not have a negative effect on the grinding quality.
